You can efficiently manage metadata in Razuna using the integrated CSV import and export functionality. Administrators can create customizable templates to streamline metadata export and import. To access these features, locate the "CSV" icon within each folder.
CSV Export
To export all metadata associated with files in a particular folder—and optionally include metadata from subfolders—navigate to the desired folder and click on the CSV icon. This action opens the CSV drawer, presenting you with options for exporting. You can choose either the "All fields" option or select a specific template crafted by your administrator.
At this stage, you can decide whether to export only the files in the selected folder or include all files, including those in any subfolders. Once you initiate the export, it will be queued for processing, and you will receive a notification when it is complete. You can also monitor the status of your export in the "CSV" tab of the notifications section, which serves as a comprehensive history of all previous exports. This allows easy retrieval, as you can re-download the exported file from this log at any time.
CSV Import
The CSV import option is similarly located within the CSV folder interface. To import metadata from your CSV file, you must first select an appropriate import template. Here again, you can opt for the "All fields" template or one of the custom templates created by your administrator.
It is crucial to note that for the "All fields" import to function correctly, the CSV file must contain the exact field names and structure as specified in the CSV export. This ensures a smooth and accurate import process.
After initiating the import, your request will be queued for execution. The import drawer will provide real-time updates, reflecting the import's progress as it occurs. Upon completion, you will receive a notification similar to the one supplied with exports. The results of the import—detailing any errors or confirmations—will also be available for your review within the "CSV" notifications tab, allowing you to verify the success of your operation.
